This real-time render project is reproduced from Simon Stålenhag's one piece of concept art in Things from the flood. All the assets are done by myself except the VFX from the Epic Market and some Megascan decals. It's a great experience translating Simon's unique work into 3D, not only exploring the way of creating assets but also deeply studying how Simon put the shape language, color theory, composition, and even components together to achieve an atmosphere that leads the reader to his story.
Special thanks to Jobye-Kyle Karmaker for giving me so much help in this project during the mentorship, which improved my environment art skills and gave me the inspiration to find a way to achieve this wonderful final result.
